Keukenhof

I knew Keukenhof would be busy on the weekend, but with Queen’s Day on Monday I didn’t want to risk missing a sunny day.  So, off we went on Sunday morning, hoping for the best.  We took the train to Leiden and then the #54 bus with combination bus/entrance tickets.  Even though we arrived at Keukenhof at 9:45 a lot of people got there before us.  By lunchtime it was quite crowded.  I was overwhelmed with the beauty – flowers everywhere, especially tulips.  Due to an ankle injury back in November I had some mobility issues, but I covered as much as I could while resting periodically.  I may sound calm about it, but I was cursing under my breath as I wanted to do so much more.  We had lunch in one of the numerous cafeterias.  www.keukenhof.com/
